WEBWIRE

Manchester, UK - November 17, 2006

Denise Hendry had cosmetic surgery that nearly killed her. Now the wife of former Scotland captain Colin Hendry is to speak at a seminar to highlight the dangers of having cosmetic surgery.

The seminar is for people who are thinking of having cosmetic surgery and for people who’ve had botched cosmetic surgery or a bad experience from cosmetic procedures.

Denise will talk about her own experience of having a liposuction procedure, during which her bowel and colon were punctured nine times, causing blood poisoning and multiple organ failure. Denise spent five weeks in a coma and almost eight weeks in intensive care.

Leading consultant cosmetic surgeon Hugh Henderson will be at the seminar along with
Dr. Eileen Bradbury, a consultant health psychologist who recently appeared on Channel 4’s Under the Knife programme.

Stephen Jones, the clinical negligence solicitor that won one of the largest cosmetic surgery compensation settlements in UK history whilst representing Denise Hendry, will be available at the seminar with colleague Emma Holt. Stephen Jones and Emma Holt are clinical negligence solicitors and specialists in cosmetic surgery litigation with Manchester based law firm Pannone LLP.

The seminar is free to anyone who is thinking of having cosmetic surgery and for people who have had a bad experience from cosmetic surgery.

The event is being held at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Wednesday November 22nd. For free invitations please contact Sara Baines at Pannone LLP on 0161 909 3000 or by e-mail to law@pannone.co.uk
