Atos Consulting appoints new Partner to join Private Sector Team

London, 14 November 2006 - Atos Consulting, the business consulting arm of Atos Origin, today announced the appointment of a new partner, Simon Smith, to further strengthen its industrials and manufacturing sector business.

Simon joins Atos Consulting from Celerant where he led the Process Industry Sector and helped to build the European business with leading blue chip clients. Before moving into consulting six years ago, Simon worked for more than 18 years in industry, mainly with ICI, in a wide variety of business management roles.

On joining the company, Simon observed that “Atos Consulting can count many global and FTSE 100 companies among its clients. This presents a tremendous opportunity to build relationships and form long term business partnerships that deliver real benefits to our clients.”

Simon’s appointment follows the announcement in September this year of three other new partners, Peter Richardson and Richard Love, who joined the Financial Services team, and Lesley McLay, who joined the Healthcare team. These appointments were made as part of Atos Consulting’s plans to further expand and strengthen its UK business consulting practice, and underline the management team’s commitment to grow its base of experienced senior consultants.
