LOS ANGELES, CA -- 04/27/2005 -- The U.S. Small Business Administration Los Angeles District Office awards the 2005 Young Entrepreneurs Award to Frank Jara and Jeremiah A. Forest of Grand Capital.

Every year, this award is given to those who have shown success by measured sales and profits, increased employment opportunities, and innovative or creative business methods. In the last three years Frank and Jeremiah have accomplished just that.

In August of 2002, Frank and Jeremiah opened the doors of Grand Capital. At that time there were six associates that were a part of Grand Capital. The team was small and the production was limited. In less than three years they have grown to 52 employees, 22 salaried and 30 sales associates. They have offices in three counties in Southern California, and have over $5 million in gross revenue.

Frank and Jeremiah began with a vision: to create a Mortgage Banking institution tailored towards helping the rapidly increasing Hispanic population of Southern California. They understood the significance of the underrepresented Hispanic demographic in Southern California and their socio-economic importance. They designed a financial system that embraced the Hispanic population and built a trusting relationship with the community.

Employee well-being is also a priority of the company. “Our number-one objective at Grand Capital is to provide all co-workers with a productive and pleasurable working environment, constructive to both personal and professional growth,” explains Frank Jara. “We want nothing more than to provide a place where each individual can grow and reach their highest potential. Our next objective is to be the number-one source in which Hispanics can come for home financing and financial services. There are many places you can go to get a loan, but we will be there for life, and our services go above and beyond ’just doing loans.’”

“I feel we are a part of something great, something bigger than all of us,” says Jeremiah Forest. “We are where we are today because of each individual in Grand Capital. They’re amazing people, and together we’re accomplishing extraordinary things.”

Grand Capital is working together to accomplish their vision and goals, and with such a diverse culture they are giving excellent service to their clients. They’re a company that’s determined to take care of their clients and build life-long relationships.
