With our certification from Cybertrust, Visa can confidently advise merchants that BT Buynet is a capable and secure processing company to work with.

We chose Cybertrust because of their world-renowned reputation as a trusted security advisor, the skills and expertise of their team and their broad understanding of information security and capability"

“We are delighted that BT Buynet has entrusted Cybertrust to deliver its PCI scanning and certification services, says John Holland, Cybertrust Senior Vice President and General Manager for EMEA. ”PCI standards were established as an initiative by the major credit card companies to secure customers’ confidence in card transactions amid concerns over the safety of online purchasing, the integrity of companies handling customer account data and possible identity fraud. By enabling organisations’ such as BT Buynet to demonstrate compliance, they can give their customers, and their customers’ customers, peace of mind that they are committed to adhering to the very strictest standards"

PCI standards are a combination of the payment card industry’s firms’ existing security programs and a world wide benchmark of security practices for all organisation that store, process or transmit cardholders data.

To comply, such organisations must carry out regular scans and audits of their networks and ensure the way they work is as safe as the standard demands. The deadline for compliance has been set for the 30th of June 2007.
