Intelli-Check, Inc. Receives Initial Order from Pentagon Force Protection Agency

WEBWIRE

November 03, 2006 - Intelli-Check, Inc. (AMEX: IDN) today announced that it has received an initial order for its ID-Check technology that will be incorporated into hand-held computers for use by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), a division of the United States Department of Defense (DoD).

The handheld devices and software are designed to allow authorized personnel the ability to control access to any site with confidence by quickly authenticating and validating the identity of individuals wishing to enter the site.

Intelli-Checks proprietary ID-Check technology has the ability to validate the encoding formats on driver licenses, state-issued non-driver IDs and military IDs for credentialing purposes. We believe that this order from the PFPA substantiates the applicability of our technology to meet the requirements for document verification of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD 12). Intelli-Check believes that a substantial opportunity exists for credentialing technology such as we offer, now that the deadline of October 27th for compliance with HSPD 12 has passed.

Frank Mandelbaum, Chairman and CEO of Intelli-Check stated, We are very pleased that this initial deployment by the PFPA has included our technology. As the date for compliance with HSPD 12 has passed, we believe this order substantiates that our technology is a viable solution for safe and secure ID credentialing in what we believe will prove to be a potentially large market for us within the multi-billion dollar Government and Homeland Security market.

About Pentagon Force Protection Agency

In response to the terrorist attack against the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, the Department of Defense established the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA). The new agency absorbed the Pentagons police force, formerly known as the Defense Protective Service (DPS), and its role of providing basic law enforcement and security for the Pentagon and DoD interests in the National Capitol Region (NCR).

PFPA expanded that mission to provide force protection against the full spectrum of potential threats through robust prevention, preparedness, detection, and response measures. The agency provides those services to the 280-acre Pentagon Reservation as well as numerous other Department of Defense activities and facilities within the NCR.
