STAMFORD, Conn.--April 22, 2005--Questcon Technologies, a division of Howard Systems International Inc., (HSI) announced today the award of a project to upgrade and improve the automated testing processes used by a major Healthcare solutions provider to deliver and support its suite of software products. The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) application is a complex cornerstone within the company’s suite of core offerings. The goal of this engagement is to elevate a sound existing regression testing process by incorporating best practices and proven processes that help the company mitigate the risk of issues and service interruptions for their large and growing base of institutions and physicians.

“This engagement is an excellent forum for us to demonstrate the unique process improvement capabilities of our QuestAssured methodology”, said Chris Laney, Vice President at Questcon. “We are often called in to assist a client because of severe problems, inefficiencies or performance issues. In this case we have the benefit of a sound organization, people and processes as a foundation. Our job is to help them realize the highest possible return on investment through training, mentoring and the implementation of a sophisticated automated regression testing solution.”

As one of the fifth largest providers of Healthcare software solutions the client’s number one priority is to deliver a fully tested, high quality suite of applications that operate without interruption. The Questcon team will create and execute the EMR test automation project plan based on their Test Process Improvement Approach to analyze current processes, recommend improvements, design the automation framework, train and mentor the client’s staff in tools and processes, implement the automation framework and tools and develop scripts. “Our primary focus will be on knowledge transfer in order to leave our client with a perpetual benefit”, said Shaun Bradshaw, Questcon’s Director of Quality Solutions.

In conducting this engagement the Questcon team will follow the same quality roadmap it has used in hundreds of similar projects; training, mentoring and working closely with the client’s QA and Testing organization to enhance their ability to deliver and support their customers in current and future product releases. Project governance will be provided by Questcon’s Director of Quality Solutions to ensure all project deliverables are completed within the client’s aggressive timeframe and budget.
