Sprint Music Store is the First to Announce Reaching More than Eight Million Song Downloads, Also Offers More Exclusive Content and Promotions

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — 11/01/2006 - Sprint (NYSE: S) announced today that the Sprint Music Store(SM), which became the first over-the-air song-download service available in the United States in partnership with Groove Mobile, is celebrating its one-year anniversary and is the first service of its kind to announce reaching eight million song downloads. The Sprint Music Store is also offering new exclusive content and promotions.

Sprint continues to offer music that customers can’t get anywhere else, including:

* Akon. “I Wanna Love You featuring Snoop Dogg” is the second single from Universal recording artist Akon’s highly-anticipated sophomore release, “Konvicted,” and is available exclusively from the Sprint Music Store until the album hits the streets on Nov. 14. Akon’s first album, “Trouble,” has sold more than three million copies.
* Fat Joe. “Story To Tell” is an unreleased track from Terror Squad/Imperial/Virgin recording artist Fat Joe’s upcoming album, “Me, Myself & I.” “Story To Tell” is available exclusively from the Sprint Music Store. The highly anticipated album’s release date is Nov. 14. Sprint will also provide ringers, Call Tones and video clips featuring Fat Joe.
* Pretty Ricky. “On the Hotline” is the first single from Blue Star Entertainment International/Atlantic recording group Pretty Ricky’s upcoming new album “Late Light Special” and is available exclusively from the Sprint Music Store until the album’s launch in January 2007. Sprint is also offering exclusive ringers and Call Tones from the album until Nov. 14, and fans can speak directly to members of Pretty Ricky on their Sprint phones by calling (954) 476-3695.

Sprint now provides more entertainment content than ever before in each of its three Sprint Power Vision(SM) data plans, including four song downloads every month for the Ultimate Pack, which is $25 per month, and one song download every month for the Plus Pack, which is $20 per month. Additionally, a pricing promotion for the Sprint Music Store has been extended until Jan. 13 to celebrate the one year anniversary and upcoming holiday season, allowing customers to buy two songs while Sprint provides a third song at no charge.

The Sprint Music Store enables customers to browse, preview and purchase songs while on the go anywhere on the nationwide Sprint Power Vision network. A growing selection of more than 500,000 songs from virtually every genre is available via EMI Music, SONY BMG Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group.

Key advantages of the Sprint Music Store are:

* Instant access -- it launches with one click from the phone’s main menu
* Choice -- personalized recommendations are offered based on the user’s past purchases
* Convenience -- since users carry their phones everywhere, music can be played and downloaded anytime, anywhere
* Versatility -- it plays songs purchased from the Store as well as songs from personal CD collections (and any other unprotected music files sideloaded from a PC)
* Easy management -- just like any MP3 player, songs appear on a play list and external keys on select phones provide the ability to play, pause, skip, fast forward and rewind
* Enjoyment – it can play downloaded songs while users continue to browse

Customers are able to receive two copies of the song – one for their phone and another for their PC, and they can also burn their music to a CD using Windows Media Player. To use the Sprint Music Store, a Sprint phone enabled for the Sprint Power Vision network is required, and a data plan is recommended.*
