Revolutionary Corporate Pass Saves Money, Simplifies Travel

MONTREAL – Air Canada welcomed TELUS to the travel revolution today. TELUS is Canada’s first major corporation to use Air Canada’s Corporate Passes for employees traveling on business, resulting in substantial cost savings, more flexibility and greater convenience for the company and its employees.

“It takes a forward-looking company to adopt bold new approaches to business, and that is where TELUS and Air Canada are of a kind,” said Charles McKee, Vice President, Marketing. “Our Corporate Pass is unique because with just one transaction a corporation can meet all its travel needs, coast-to-coast or across the continent.”

Air Canada Corporate Passes enable a company to purchase bundles of flight credits that are pooled and available to employees in a designated team via the Air Canada website. The system simplifies travel while creating cost savings from flat rate ticket prices, escalating change fees, and unused and non-refundable tickets

“Keeping track of travel for up to 30,000 employees is a challenge, so TELUS was attracted by the promise of simplified travel and cost savings,” said Kathy Pavelich, TELUS director of Enterprise Services. “We did some research, and found these passes allow our employees to book trips easily on-line and to just as easily adjust flight times, dates and other itinerary details as their business needs change. We estimate Corporate Passes will save TELUS several million dollars annually on our travel expenses while providing even greater flexibility for our employees.”

Available in both Tango Plus or Latitude fares, the Corporate Pass features easy online management of bookings, upgrades, changes and cancellations; allows single or multiple passengers to fly roundtrip or one way; and gives users 100 per cent Air Canada status miles. Additionally, the wide selection of Corporate Passes means:

* Up to 300 employees can share each Corporate Pass, with the convenience of adding and deleting user names at any time;
* Travel by zone with the ability to select a variety of zone designations for maximum flexibility and easier tracking of corporate travel;

* No set limit to the number of flight credits or number of Corporate Passes each company can purchase;

* Online reporting for 24/7 access to all flight and booking history details;

* Budgeting predictability for travel costs.
