With the GCM 8S Professional, Bosch offers an easy-to-transport double-bevel sliding mitre-saw for interior fitters, floor fitters, window fitters and joiners. Its weight of 15 kilograms, compact design and carrying handle with softgrip make it easy to carry, even to the top floor of a new building or onto scaffolding on a construction site. This double-bevel sliding mitre-saw also has a powerful 1400-watt motor for fast work progress. The GCM 8S Professional saws different materials, such as panels, wooden beams, aluminium and plastic, with ease. Thanks to its dual slide mechanism the tool has a cutting capacity of 270x60 millimeters, making it particularly suitable for sawing parquet wood flooring and laminate. Mitre cuts on both sides up to maximum 58 degrees and bevel cuts up to 47 degrees on the left are possible.

The GCM 8S Professional has an integrated laser for precise cuts; the laser projects a line onto the work-piece showing where the saw will cut. It is no longer necessary to position the saw blade on the cutting line; this makes it easier and quicker to perform precise cuts.

In poor lighting conditions on the construction site the integrated lamp lights up the work-piece allowing for convenient sawing. The high-quality cast angle scales guarantee precise angle settings over the entire lifetime of the tool.

The GCM 8S Professional will be available at retail outlets from November 2006 onwards at the recommended retail price of 439 euros plus VAT. It comes complete with a clamp for safe fixing of work-pieces during sawing and a dust bag for collecting the sawing chips.

The Double-Bevel Sliding Mitre-Saw GCM 8S Professional expands the Bosch range of professional bench-mounted tools. Seven machines have been available until now: two Mitre-saws GCM 10 Professional and GCM 12 Professional, the Double-Bevel Sliding Mitre Saws GCM 10S Professional, GCM 10 SD Professional and GCM 12 SD Professional, the Table Saw GTS 10 Professional and the Metal Cut-off Saw GCO 14-1 Professional. All mitre-saws and the double-bevel sliding mitre-saws can be fixed to the leg-stand GTA 3700 Professional from Bosch.
