Medical Services Company Moves Tech Operations to Louisville

WEBWIRE

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—MedX12 has moved management of its IT services from Phoenix, Arizona to Louisville and plans to add nearly 40 people to its payroll. The technology company, which saves healthcare providers time and money through efficient online claims and office management services, previously only housed its management offices here.

“Louisville’s focus on creating a great environment for technology-based businesses such as ours has made it inviting for us to move this component of our business from one of the more renowned technology regions in the nation to Kentucky,” said founder Joe Sostarich.

CIO Jeff Honken, who recently moved here from the Phoenix area, said he was favorably impressed with his new home’s capabilities and human capital.

“I was pleased by the quality of the workforce I found here,” Honken said. “Louisville is a great environment for us to grow this business, which already has a national clientele.”

MedX12 has moved to larger office space to accommodate this change and for ready expansion of its provider representatives and support personnel.

The company growth projections indicate MedX12 will need to ramp up to approximately 37 additional employees by spring 2007.
