BNP Paribas International Hackathon: during Demo Day, 16 start-up presented their solutions for a state of the art customer experience

On Friday 1st December, 16 start-up from ten countries presented to a large audience their solutions to help further improve customer experience. This was the final step of the 3rd edition of the BNP Paribas International Hackathon, and the projects are now to be implemented within the bank. BNP Paribas International Hackathon is the first-ever international hackathon with simultaneous sessions in 10 cities.

The best 16 were declared winners of the BNP Paribas International Hackathon during the Demo Day in Paris. They will now continue their collaboration with BNP Paribas.

The competition started in June with an International Hackathon weekend. In 10 cities all over the world, 160 start-up simultaneously competed with their solutions to “Create a state of the art customer experience”. In Berlin, Brussels, Istanbul, Luxembourg, Nanjing, Paris, Rome, San Francisco, Singapore and Warsaw, start-up displayed great talent and creativity to develop their customer-focused projects, backed by BNP Paribas’ experts.

After this first round in June, 28 start-up were selected to develop and further validate their solutions along with the BNP Paribas local experts during a co-working phase.

During the Demo Day, 4 “Coups de Coeur” among the 16 winners, were awarded by a jury composed by BNP Paribas Top Management, led by Jacques d’Estais, Head of International Financial Services and deputy COO and Thierry Laborde, Head of Domestic Markets and deputy COO. These “Coups de Coeur” address the BNP Paribas 2020 strategic goals.

Tetrao (Luxembourg) - with BGL BNP Paribas

Tetrao facilitates customers onboarding by digitizing the process. They are developing a unique Internet Robotic Cognitive Automation, enabling the automation of processes by simulating the behavior of a human worker manipulating an Internet browser or PDF documents, its differentiating factor being its ability to adapt to changes in the technical code of the documents.
