New Poly (N-vinyl pyrrolidone) from Polysciences Inc.
Warrington, PA - October 2006 Polysciences, Inc., a leading manufacturer of specialty monomers, polymers and laboratory chemicals, announces the release of the newest member of the Poly (N-vinyl pyrrolidone) family, a 4,000-6,000 molecular weight product. This new 4,000-6,000 molecular weight polymer has a measured Brookfield viscosity of under 6,000 mPa.s at 25 degrees C for a 10% weight to weight solution in water.
This low molecular weight version allows the user to obtain maximum dispersive properties with the polymer but at lower viscosity than the higher molecular weight products, said Robert Gleim Ph.D., Catalog Business Development Manager, Polysciences, Inc.
