Leading orthopaedic and sports medicine group to install Agfa HealthCare’s PACS solution

Pinnacle Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Specialists selects IMPAX™ to link its eight sites and better serve patients

Greenville, South Carolina - U.S. - September 28, 2006, Agfa HealthCare announced today that Pinnacle Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Specialists has purchased and will be installing Agfa’s IMPAX for Orthopaedics at its eight offices in the Atlanta, GA (USA) area. Pinnacle will also install three of Agfa’s CR 25.0 digitizers and software for full-leg, full-spine imaging creating a complete digital working environment, from image acquisition to storage and distribution of pre- and post-surgical planning data.

The system includes a library of more than 12,000 templates from the world’s leading implant manufacturers, software modules for optimized biometry, coxometry and osteotomy planning, and allows multi-modality reviews and multi-study comparisons, providing the necessary tools to assist orthopaedic surgeons in making informed decisions.
