NCR POS Solutions Cited as Leaders by Independent Research Firm

September 22, 2006 - ATLANTA – NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) announced today that Forrester Research has positioned two NCR retail point-of-sale (POS) solutions – NCR Advanced Store and NCR Advanced Checkout Solution (ACS) – as leaders in “The Forrester Wave™: POS Software, Q3 2006.”

The evaluation criteria in the Forrester report are “current offering,” “strategy” and “market presence.” For store operations platforms, out of a possible 5.0, ACS received scores of 4.57 for current offering and 4.44 for strategy, while Advanced Store received scores of 4.36 for current offering and 4.43 for strategy. The report states, “ACS is strong in what matters to its target market: best-in-class loyalty, tender flexibility, and support for payment technologies.”
