The Feintool Group – a leading technology and systems provider and a globally operating components supplier based in Lyss, Switzerland – has announced the appointment of Joachim Kaufmann as its new CEO.

The Board of Directors of Feintool International Holding has announced the appointment of the new Feintool Group CEO: Joachim Kaufmann (52), an experienced manager with a long track record in the business. “We know and value Joachim Kaufmann from the many years he was General Manager of our former headquarters, Feintool AG Lyss, and, after we went public, from his time as Head of European parts production”, said Board Chairman Fritz Boesch. In recent years Kaufmann has been the successful head of the Adval Tech Group’s blanking and forming technology division (better known as Styner und Bienz). In this position he is also a member of this Group’s management. One thing is clear for the Deputy Chairman of the Feintool Board, Alexander von Witzleben: “Joachim Kaufmann’s appointment puts someone with an in-depth knowledge of our core competencies at the helm of the Feintool Group, and will enable us to continue on our current successful path.” By arrangement with Adval Tech, Kaufmann will be released early from his current position so that he can take up his post at Feintool on 1 January 2007. Until then the Feintool Group will continue to be managed by Heinz Loosli and Reto Welte. The name of the new CFO will also be announced in the next few weeks.
