Tesco surprises customers with free ‘Christmas Night In’ treats

To help customers get in the festive spirit the retailer is giving away gift boxes to 60,000 lucky shoppers. With Christmas party season in full swing Tesco are treating them to an indulgent night in amidst the Christmas rush.

The box includes a selection of festive food and drink including a Thornton’s chocolate collection and, of course, a Tesco Christmas pudding!

Running until 19th December, selected customers across the UK will receive their gift box with their regular online grocery shop. The ‘Christmas Night In’ forms part of Tesco’s Surprise and Delight initiative where online customers are given free products as a thank you at different times throughout the year. Previous gifts have included children’s activity packs during the school holidays and chocolates around Valentine’s Day. One million customers have received a surprise and delight treat so far this year.

Customers have been sharing their excitement on receiving a gift box on social media using the hashtag #EveryLittleHelps.
