Farmers Insurance District Office 24 is proud to announce a successful Suits for Soldiers campaign
Farmers Insurance closed its national Suits for Soldiers campaign, honored to receive support from so many in the community.
“Our goal was to collect a minimum of 1,000 suits and professional clothing articles in the Southwest territory and 200 for our district. We almost doubled our territory and district goal collecting almost 5,000 suits and pieces of professional attire in our territory and almost 400 in our district. We’re so proud of our community for coming together to assist us in helping our soldiers personnel transition from the military into civilian life.

Suits for Soldiers was first conducted in six states in 2015 and resulted in the collection or more than 8,500 suits. Expanding the program to a national level gives Farmers’ employees, agency owners, customers and local communities the opportunity to build on last year’s success and support their local heroes.
According to the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, more than 1 million active duty military members will make the transition from active duty to civilian life in the coming years, and many of them do not own appropriate attire to go to job fairs, interviews or work. In 2014, Farmers Insurance signed a statement of support with the Department of Defense office of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, committing to seek ways to increase opportunities for guardsmen, reservist and veterans.
Farmers Insurance was founded in 1928 by two WWI Veterans, John C. Tyler and Thomas Leavey. Farmers has been an active veteran employee resource group, providing important networking and career development opportunities.
