Idea of Writing As Healing Shared in a Poetry Book

Julie Cull’s book, Poetry from the Heart for Women: A Pathway to Healing and Deliverance, makes an appearance at the 10th AJC Decatur Book Festival. LitFire Publishing featured the book from September 2 to 4, 2016, at 101 E. Court Square, Decatur, Georgia.

The book is a collection of poems intended to ease—if not take away—the pain and emotional scars of the past. A lot of people lose faith, hope, or their dreams, and they eventually give up, to the point of self-destruction. Nevertheless, Jesus Christ will always be there to give hope, and it is Cull’s belief that through writing, and with God’s help, one may deliver oneself from the path of ruination.
