HeiLu Adds Christina Beltran as Sales Consultant to their Growing Team
Industry specialist, Christina Beltran, recently joined the HeiLu team. As Sales Consultant, Christina will be in charge of creating new business opportunities and exposing existing relationships to the HeiLu and Teknion brands. The day-to-day tasks will consist of leading her team on project opportunities from design direction, ancillary furniture specification, and project management.
“I’ve known Scott Kreich for a number of years now. We’ve always had great conversations about the furniture market and have been on the same page in regards to ideas on selling and nurturing business relationships in the LA market,” said Christina Beltran. “The opportunity presented itself at the right time for both of us, and it was a career opportunity I couldn’t pass up!”
Christina graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Interior Design Concentration from James Madison University in 1995 and spent 5 years in Virgina, primarily working in Residential Design. After moving to Los Angeles in 200, she pursued her career in the contract furniture market.
Prior to HeiLu, Christina’s job function has been very similar to what her new role at Heilu will entail. Her most memorable project was the Yahoo! campus in Playa Vista – a project containing 3 buildings and totaling 150,000sf of pure ancillary. Along with the complexity of the product, number of manufacturers and custom solutions, the project had an expedited completion date and product selections were being constantly changed and revised. Christina and her team worked diligently to stay on top of the details and had strong communication with the Project Manager/Design Firm/General Contractor. The end result was a client who was extremely satisfied with the service and a beautiful new campus.
The biggest learning curve Christina has experienced is communicating and relaying expectations. Clients’ have different experience levels in regards to having or not having gone through a furniture move, so creating a timeline and realistic budget is key to having a successful project.
“I am really excited to be a part of the HeiLu team in LA. There is so much opportunity in the way of growth and creating a unique brand amongst furniture dealers. The most exciting part to me is being in LA and part of the shift in the work and cultural environment.”
