Children’s Fable Featured in Beijing International Book Fair
Margee Minter’s book enters the Asian market.

Margee Minter’s book, Ollie’s Unlucky Day, makes an appearance at the 23rd Beijing International Book Fair. LitFire Publishing featured the book from August 24 to 28, 2016, at China International Exhibition Center in Chaoyang Qu, Beijing, China.
In the book, Lucky, the cat, and Ollie, the dog, have been longtime friends. But when Ollie’s fifth birthday comes, his mother, Mrs. Yorkie, arranges an all-dog party. Wanting to be in Ollie’s birthday, Lucky decides to party-crash, and chaos erupts.
Margee has always been dedicated to children and teaching them. “I no longer teach in schools, but I still like to share stories to children. Through this book, I hope to reach all the children in the world,” she says.
Ollie’s Unlucky Day is a fun-filled children’s book with illustrations. The book also has a coloring version and a Spanish version.
Thousands of authors, publishers, book lovers, and fairgoers have gathered in the international annual event.
About the Author
Margee Minter resides in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, with her husband, Bob. They have two kids, Jon and Lisa. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Oklahoma and from Oklahoma State University, respectively. She worked as a kindergarten and elementary teacher for more than thirty years but is now retired.
