Cellect Solutions Doubles Projected Volume in First Month of Business

DHL, the world’s leading express delivery and logistics company, today announced it has been selected by Overland Park, KS-based Cellect Solutions, a new cellular value added services company, as its express shipping provider.

Cellect Solutions provides warrantee return services for regional cellular service providers, coordinating cellular phone warranty repairs from the customer to the manufacturer, and providing loaner phones to cellular phone service customers while the repair is in process. Cellect Solutions will use DHL to provide loaner phones to wireless customers nationwide, ensuring cellular clients maintain uninterrupted service.

“As we started this new venture, we were looking for a shipping company that was willing to hold our hand a bit to ensure the critical transportation component runs smoothly,” said Jamie Thomason, President of Cellect Solutions. “DHL was the only company that cared about our company in its infancy, and provided the type of personalized support that helped us grow our business successfully from the start. Quite frankly, we never expected that type of care from a large, global company,” continued Thomason.

As president of a new business, Thomason said he was very mindful of making smart purchasing decisions, and was surprised to learn DHL was the only shipping carrier to offer a 12:00 pm service in addition to an early morning 10:30 option. “Knowing we have two options in the morning provides us with the right amount of flexibility, so our customers can pay for exactly the type of services that are needed,” said Thomason. DHL’s flexibility was also an advantage operationally - DHL extended the pickup cut-off time for Cellect Solutions, allowing orders to be taken up until 5:00 PM for delivery the next day. Local operations added extra pickup “sweeps” by DHL couriers during the day to help the company better manage their warehouse and limited space.

With DHL support, Cellular Solutions doubled the expected volume within the first month of business. DHL was able to support the company’s rapid growth and streamline their order process by installing additional EasyShip(R) Professional Plus systems, a complete, standalone shipping application for medium-volume shippers, integrating EasyShip with Cellect Solutions’ own repair management software.

With several new cellular service provider prospects in the pipeline, Thomason says he expects business to double again in just a few months - with the help of DHL.

“The spirit of entrepreneurship is alive and well at DHL, which is why our people have been so successful in helping start-up companies like Cellect Solutions grow and flourish,” said Janet Flores, area vice president of sales for DHL. “Whether it’s unique services like our 12:00 pm product that provide better choice and flexibility, or the energy and commitment of our people, building a successful enterprise is easier with capable partners like DHL.”
