India’s Largest Sustainability Leadership Search Begins

Sustainability Outlook has unveiled the 6th edition of Parivartan Sustainability Leadership Awards (www.ParivartanAwards.in).  The awards are India’s biggest sustainability awards and cover enterprises, innovators and business leaders. Over five editions, Parivartan Awards have uncovered more than 300 path breaking sustainability innovations from Indian industry.
 
The 2016 awards aim to find the “Enterprise of the Future” and recognize the “Power of One”. Enterprise of the Future is for businesses which are at the cutting edge of sustainability innovation. Power of One seeks to recognize the women and men driving these innovations.
 
The award categories for Enterprises cover core sustainability areas such as Water efficiency and Energy efficiency as well as emerging areas such as Smart Manufacturing, Internet of Things and Alternate Sustainable Materials. They seek to recognize product / process innovations as well as business strategy and marketing communication that promote sustainable behavior among employees as well as consumers.
 
The individual awards seek to recognize individuals at all levels of the corporate ladders - from the sustainability evangelist driving conversations in the industry to sustainability managers leading the impact on the shop-floor. The award would also recognize the under-30 professionals who are inspiring young and old alike towards sustainability with their youthful vigor and idealism.
 
The awards are presided over a Grand Jury comprised of eminent personalities from business, governance, research and academia. It is ably assisted by a high-powered Expert Council comprised of leading sustainability experts from India and abroad. The nominations are evaluated on the UMI (Uniqueness, Materiality and Integration) framework which seeks to measure not only the quantifiable impact but also the long-term value and potential of the claimed innovation.
 
The 2016 awards would be held on the 24th of November in New Delhi.
 
The key dates in the Award Calendar are:
Nominations Open: 16 August 2016
Nominations End (Early Bird): 15 September 2016
Nominations End (Final Call): 7 October 2016
 
The early entries for the awards would get a chance to be showcased at the Innovation Showcase session of the Sustainability Business Leadership Forum annual summit, which is India’s biggest platform for collaboration between businesses.
