Nearpod Integrates with Canvas so Teachers Can Easily Embed Thousands of Interactive and Dynamic Lesson Plans in the Popular Learning Management System

Today, Nearpod, the edtech platform that lets K-12 teachers find, create and distribute digital learning experiences, announces that its platform now integrates with Canvas by Instructure, a leading learning management system.

Through this integration, Nearpod teachers with Gold, School or District Licenses have the ability to access Nearpod’s Learning Tool Interoperability for Canvas (LTI for Canvas) and Nearpod Self-Paced Lessons, an effective way for teachers to easily launch asynchronous presentations for students to move at their own pace.

With Nearpod’s LTI for Canvas, teachers can add Nearpod content to Canvas modules and access an analytics dashboard that provides insight into student content-mastery. In addition, teachers can assign Nearpod Self-Paced Lessons or lessons that students can access and navigate at their own pace.

The news follows a series of recent announcements from Nearpod. The company recently raised a $9.2 million Series A funding round led by Reach Capital and unveiled the finalists of a grant program where 50 schools across the world received high-quality Nearpod VR headsets, more than 25 VR-based lesson plans, professional development, dedicated one-on-one support as well as a Nearpod license for their school.
