About the Author

Dr. Rosalie H. Contino served as an elementary and junior high school teacher and as a teaching fellow at New York University. Contino received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Fordham University. She then went on to obtain an MA and PhD in educational theater from New York University. She has also written poems about nature and articles on creative writing and dramatics. Her plays Transitions in Taking Care of Daddy, Twixt ’n’ Teen, and Lights Out! garnered honorable mentions from the Writers Digest of Playwriting Contests. Contino is an Italian American who presently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
