“It touches on the love you can experience while letting [the] little ones thrive on their own.”
LitFire Publishing is proud to showcase Dr. Monisha Vasa’s book, My Dearest One, during the 2016 Bologna Children’s Book Fair. The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is a large international trade for children’s books.
Dr. Vasa believes that the foundations of mental and emotional well-being begin in early childhood. My Dearest One is meant to foster healthy attachment and the basic principles of mindfulness for children. Her story shares the journey of a mother and baby elephant who share words of appreciation and affection for each other. Their bond depicts the importance of setting intentions, embracing gratitude, and demonstrating compassion, in childhood and beyond.
The heartfelt poetry and vivid illustrations make Saying Thank You ideal for children and parents to read together. It has been noted by multiple reviewers to spread a message of unconditional love. As one reviewer in particular notes, “It touches on the love you can experience while letting [the] little ones thrive on their own.”
My Dearest One and Dr. Vasa’s other book, Saying Thank You, was displayed in LitFire’s booth during the Bologna Children’s Book Fair last April 4–7, 2016. The book fair was held in Piazza Costituzione in Italy.
