Rosalie Contino’s Inspiring Autobiography Graced FIL 2015

Guadalajara Book Fair 2015, or Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL), is the second largest book fair in the world. Rosalie Contino was one of the authors who participated in the said event. She showcased her autobiography, Born to Create. This book chronicles Contino’s successful pursuance of a career in the arts.

From being a seventh-grade-English teacher, Dr. Contino did something that most forty-year-old professionals are doubtful of doing. Dr. Contino took a bold move and changed careers, leaving behind all the years she spent building the old one. She pursued her passion to create and successfully overcame the transition. Dr. Contino aims to provide hope and guidance to those who are planning to change their careers and paths.

This book was featured at LitFire’s booth during the said event last November 28 to December 6, 2015. The event took place at the Expo Guadalajara exhibition center in Guadalajara, Mexico.

About the Author

Dr. Rosalie H. Contino got her degree in elementary education from Fordham University. She then earned her MA in educational theater and, later, a PhD in the same field from New York University. Apart from teaching in New York University, she also worked as a costume designer, costume consultant, and lecturer for productions and events. Rosalie is a published author and currently lives in Brooklyn.
