“Before my parents passed away, I made a vow to take care of my brother. And it’s not an empty promise; I intended to fulfill it when the time comes. So, Bob needed me, I dropped everything to be at his side when he needed me the most”

Author Rosalie H. Contino, Ph.D. has republished her book, originally titled Bob: As Life Goes On: Lessons One Doesn’t Want to Have to Learn, earlier this September of 2015 and changed the title to As Life Goes On: Lessons One Doesn’t Want to Have to Learn. The second edition was republished with the help of LitFire Publishing. But despite the big changes, the touching story of how Rosalie and her brother went through life together stays the same.

In the book, she tells the story about how she took care of her schizophrenic older brother and how she had to shelve her plans to make time for her brother and fulfill the promise she made to their deceased parents.

“Before my parents passed away, I made a vow to take care of my brother. And it’s not an empty promise; I intended to fulfill it when the time comes. So, Bob needed me, I dropped everything to be at his side when he needed me the most”, said Rosalie.

In partnership with LitFire Publishing, she had not just republished her book, but she was also able to get it a spot at this year’s California Library Association conference in Pasadena, CA.

For those who are interested to know more about the book, it will be on display at the 2015 California Library Association conference this coming November 5-8, 2015.
