“Born to Create” Gets a Spot at the NELA 2015 Conference

Dreams do come true. And the story of a teacher-turned-artist will prove it once again. In her book entitled Born to Create, Dr. Rosalie H. Contino opened the eyes of its readers to the possibility of successfully chasing after their dreams, even at an age in which they’d find it most impractical.

In the book, she says, “Born to Create is a source of inspiration to take control of your life and fulfill your lifelong dreams.” With this idea in mind, Contino tied up with POD self-publishing company and marketing service provider, LitFire Publishing, to acquire a spot for Born to Create at the New England Library Association conference this year.

In the event, she wishes to encourage everyone who finds her book to be inspired to follow their heart’s true desires, especially in their career. Being one who decided to change the course of her life, career-wise, at the age of forty, she wants to show everyone how it is possible to become successful at something, even if one starts at a later part of his/her life.

About the Author

Dr. Rosalie H. Contino, PhD is a second generation Italian-American. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, where she still resides in. She attended Fordham University, from where she received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She then pursued both her master’s and doctor’s degree in educational theater and costume design at New York University. Now retired, she enjoys being a writer, playwright, costume designer, as well as a lecturer.

She has published several poems on nature and articles on creative writing and dramatics. Her plays Transitions in Taking Care of Daddy, Twixt ’n’ Teen, and Lights Out! received honorable mention from the Writer’s Digest of Playwriting Contests. Lights Out! made quarter finalist from “writers online”.
