“a realistic view of the hazards and pitfalls of life, while at the same time [is] an entertaining piece.” With a very light approach, Rockie Sue teaches readers to keep swimming because there is always victory in the Lord.
Rockie Sue Fordham is a minister’s wife, and her book, It’s Hard to Drain the Swamp When Yer Up to Yer Ears in Alligators, is the narrative of her life in and outside the ministry for thirty years.
As a minister’s wife, Rockie Sue also has her share of struggles. She is tested as much as her husband is, and whenever she feels disheartened, she trusts that she will still prevail through the power of Christ. In this book, she shares a message of encouragement and affirmation that “all things work together for good for them that love the Lord.” It emphasizes how laughter can ease the struggles Christians face as they move past this world and towards eternity.
The book is perfect not only for those serving and is planning to be involved in their church, but also for Christians in general. An Amazon reviewer says that it shows “a realistic view of the hazards and pitfalls of life, while at the same time [is] an entertaining piece.” With a very light approach, Rockie Sue teaches readers to keep swimming because there is always victory in the Lord.
