Namira Salim Announces Henley & Partners Global Citizen Award®
Founder Astronaut of Virgin Galactic Endorses International Nominations in Support of the Most Vulnerable
Namira Salim, Founder and Chairperson of Space Trust and member of the Henley & Partner’s prestigious Global Citizen Award Committee is delighted to announce that international nominations are now open for the annual Global Citizen Award®. Henley & Partners is the global leader in residence and citizenship planning.
On the Award Committee graced among others by Her Royal Highness (HRH) Princess Firyal of Jordan, Her Excellency (H.E.) Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, the President of the Republic of Malta and Professor Dr. Khalid Koser OBE, Executive Director of GCERF and Vice-Chairman of the Advisory Council on Migration, World Economic Forum, Geneva, Ms. Salim looks forward to reviewing what will be a diverse array of nominations, depicting visionaries who have dedicated time, energy, expertise and resources towards improving the global community, impacting the lives of the most vulnerable, and promoting international understanding and tolerance.
The annual Global Citizen Award® itself consists of a specially-made commemorative medal, an Award Certificate signed by the President of the Award Committee and a USD $50,000 monetary prize, of which USD $25,000 is donated to UNHCR, to support ongoing global refugee crises worldwide. Henley & Partners has partnered with the UNHCR to assist with the registration and documentation of those at the other end of the global mobility spectrum. The laureate will be presented the award at a Fundraising Gala Dinner for the benefit of the UNHCR following the 10th annual Global Residence and Citizenship Conference, on the 11th of November 2016, in London.
