Pittsburgh Asbestos Testing Lab Receives NVLAP Accreditation

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is proud to announce that its Pittsburgh laboratory has been accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for air and bulk asbestos fiber analysis (NVLAP lab code 201044-0).

Through the NVLAP accreditation program, laboratories are accredited in accordance with International Standard ISO/IEC 17025. According to NVLAP, the accreditation demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system.

The lab also participates in the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s (AIHA) Industrial Hygiene Proficiency Analytical Testing Program (IHPAT).  Along with asbestos analysis, the lab also offers fungal testing services through the AIHA Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP).
