Wisdom in Words of the Old Shared in Short Stories Anthology

With their wealth of experiences, the elderly have many stories to tell. Having heard many of such stories from the older generation, Carolyn Denise Owens has decided to share them in her book, Timeless Wisdom: Lessons from Our Ancestors.
 

Timeless Wisdom is a collection of stories Owens heard in her youth. Each story contains a pocket of lessons from the wise words of the old people. Through sayings, quotes, or scriptures, the people in the story share the wisdom from their experiences. Owens has also included some of her personal experiences in the collection.

By writing these stories, Owens seeks to bridge the gap between the older and younger generations. She hopes to restore some core values from the past so both generations can understand each other better.

Readers of this book will find many words to ponder and a treasure trove of wisdom.

This book was showcased in the 2016 London Book Fair on April 12 to 14 at Olympia, London.

About the Author

Carolyn Denise Owens lives in Warren, Arkansas, where she was born and raised. She grew up in times when older people frequently used parables, quotes, and proverbs to make a point. Presently, she is working on her next book, Before It’s Too Late: Lord, Teach Us to Humble Ourselves and Pray. The book is about her near-death experience due to a serious illness and about her miraculous recovery.
