The prestigious 2016 Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) featured Allel Kheroufi’s I Want to Fly: A Play for in Four Parts, the Children story of Homer the duck, whose greatest dream was to fly to the sun. The BCBF, an international event that promotes publications for children and young adults, was held last April 4 to 7 at the Bologna Fair Centre in Italy.
Kheroufi used his background in drama and directing to craft this endearing tale of little Homer as he tries to realize his dreams, braving obstacles and meeting interesting characters along the way.

About the Author
Allel Kheroufi is an award-winning writer and an accomplished director. He has produced some of his own plays both onstage and for television. He has a master of arts degree in drama, major in directing, from the Theatre Institute in Kiev, Ukraine, and was a director at the Algerian National Theatre. He currently lives in Edmonton, Canada.
