Anthropologist Anders Wallace to speak at the June 8-10, 2016 iDate Mobile Dating Conference in L.A.

New York, NY--Ticonderoga Ventures, Inc. announces that Anders Wallace will speak at the  44th iDate Mobile Dating Conference. The event takes place June 8-10, 2016 at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Events Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Mr. Wallace is an anthropologist and PhD Candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center.  His topic, “Communication Games: A Potential Model For User Pathways In Online Dating” will discuss the potential of online communication games that convey personality through shared experiences and affinities as an alternative to user pathways that skew towards compatibility or attraction. Drawing from anthropological fieldwork research in organizations that teach men and women to embody social skills in dating, Wallace argues that the strategic implementation of communication games in online dating websites may allow users to experience attraction, decreased self-consciousness, flow, and intimacy within a bounded context that is easily scalable. Designing user experience in online dating around the concept of shared communication games may in turn open the dating market to a wider audience, reduces user churn, enhances mobile compatibility, and creates opportunities for viral growth for online dating websites.
