Children’s Book Spreads the Christian Message in the 2016 Tucson Festival of Books

Flicker Floo: The Firefly, I. J. Alvarez’s latest children’s book, joined the lineup of the books for young readers in the 2016 Tucson Festival of Books last March 12 to 13 at the University of Arizona campus.

Alvarez’s first children’s book of the three she plans to write is taken from the parables of Jesus in the Bible. Through the character of Flicker Floo, she teaches children about the importance of faith and glorifying God. In the main character, she creates a pious role model to encourage the children to pray and do good deeds.
