Action-Packed Illustrated Children’s Book Featured in 2016 Tucson Festival of Books

Last March 12 to 13, the Tucson Festival of Books was held at the University of Arizona campus. Among the many books featured in the event was Gwendoline Phillips’s illustrated children’s book, The Magical Land of Scotwalend: The Journey to the Earthions’ Treasure and the Eternal Flame of Life.

The Magical Land of Scotwalend follows the story of a prince and a princess, as well as their friends, as they travel to an enchanting land where dragons, fairies, leprechauns, and other magical creatures exist. The children celebrate the coming of spring and meet the entities that dwell in the kingdom. Throughout their stay, they get into a thrilling adventure to protect the Earthions’ Treasure and the Eternal Flame of Life.

Phillips’s children’s book reaches out to the creative and whimsical side of young readers. The full-colored illustrations by Amy Dwarika capture the readers’ attention as they go along the characters’ journey. This will take readers on an exciting quest to accomplish a noble and royal mission.

About the Author
Gwendoline Phillips was raised in the Midwestern United States. As a child, she loved writing short stories and poetry, as well as creating arts and crafts. The Magical Land of Scotwalend is her first children’s book, which she dedicates to her children and grandchildren. Currently, she is working another book in her children’s book series.
