CommonWealth One Announces Winners of Team Up and Win $5,000 Sweepstakes

Five lucky members of CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union took home $1,000 on Super Bowl Sunday as part of the credit union’s Team Up and Win program and sweepstakes.  And over 900 members received bonus incentives by the end of February for referring new members or bringing in new loans during the Credit Union’s football season.

The Team Up and Win initiative ran throughout football season and encouraged members to refer other members to the credit union with a chance to earn cash rewards and be entered into a $5,000 sweepstakes.

“Our members have always been the best ambassadors to promote the benefits of membership in CommonWealth One,” said CommonWealth One CEO Charlotte Cash. “Team Up and Win was developed with that in mind — a friendly competition among members to spread the word about how great CommonWealth One is, and where everyone wins.”

Throughout the Team Up and Win promotion season, which started in August, CommonWealth One added more than 1,100 new members, awarded 600 members a $70 loan incentive for taking out a new loan, awarded more than $2,000 in prize money to the winners of our Turkey Day Video Contest and more.

The five $1,000 winners of the Team Up and Win sweepstakes:

• Robert Yates, a James Madison University student, who is currently living abroad in London. He plans to use the money to help fund his education.
• Paulette Ruiz, a student at Blue Ridge Community College who is studying accounting.
• Carolann McLaughlin, a football super-fan who said she would use some of her money to host a Super Bowl party.
• Adam Blalock and Thomas Kleis, both students at James Madison University who joined the credit union during our Team up and Win promotion.
