Chartered 2006 Technology Forums Emphasize Strength Of Collaboration; Highlight Advanced Process Development

The one-day events, entitled “Team Advantage - We Collaborate. You Win,” will be held in the U.S., Taiwan and China, and feature in-depth discussions of critical technology and business issues related to advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The Technology Forums will showcase the progress the joint development alliance of Chartered, IBM, Infineon and Samsung has achieved, including the recently announced development of 45nm working circuits.

The U.S. event, which will be held on September 28 at the Santa Clara (Calif.) Convention Center, features keynote addresses by Dr. John Kelly, senior vice president of technology and intellectual property at IBM; and Bill Adamec, director of the Xbox Semiconductor Technology Group at Microsoft. A lineup of seasoned technologists and executives from Chartered, IBM, Infineon and Samsung will also be on hand to speak on a range of issues such as managing power, design for manufacturability, and yield enhancement. The event will close with a panel of experts looking at the future of bulk CMOS beyond 45nm.
