Dorothy Minter Compiles Lucy Louís Adventures Into One Book

Author of childrenís books, Dorothy Minter, published a compilation of her book series, The Adventures of Lucy Lou, in September 2015. It tackles various topics that children can learn plenty from, such as bullying, fairness, honesty, courage, and many more.
In the first book, Lucy Lou meets the ghost and they become friends. He promises to take her on many magical journeys and make all her dreams come true. There are six exciting stories in the book: Lucy Louís Ghost Secret; Lucy Lou and the Handicapped Pumpkin; Lucy Lou Lost in the Woods; Lucy Louís Easter Gift; Lucy Louís Ghost Gets A Name; Lucy Lou Meets the Bully. The second series will be the adventures of Lucy Lou with subtitle, Lucy Louís Magical Journeys, which will consist of six short stories scheduled to be published in 2016.
When asked about what inspired her to write the books, Minter said, ďWhat I wanted was to help instill values in children in a fun and exciting way. Also, since the stories are interconnected, having them all in one compilation seemed to be a good idea.Ē
The stories come with illustrations done by Jan Michael Vincent Sy, who has also worked on illustrations for other childrenís books.
The compilation of Minterís books was promoted by LitFire Publishing at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2015. The event took place in Guadalajara, Mexico last November 28 to December 6, 2015.

About the Author
Dorothy Minter was born in Hopkins County, Texas on a sandy land farm. She got married and moved to Denton, Texas in 1955. Her interest in becoming a published author came quite by accident. She has a masterís degree in Special Education and post graduate work in school administration. Now retired, she plans to devote her time to writing, volunteer work, and travel. She also writes poetry and does public speaking.
