Within this great empire resides a conniving man, the emperor’s cousin, who allowed his greed to consume him. And in his unquenchable lust for wealth and power, he threatens the life of the emperor’s only daughter, a humble Mayan princess who was brought up to be selfless and kind.

The Journey of a Mayan Princess was displayed at the 2015 Guadalajara International Book Fair held last November 28 – December 6 at Expo Guadalajara, Mexico. Several promotional materials were also displayed during the said event.

Nellie Hummel was born and raised in Sonora, Mexico. She spent her youth listening to her grandmother’s stories about the Mayan civilization. Her tales made a lasting impression which inspired her to create The Journey of a Mayan Princess. Now, she is working on a sequel for that book.
