Messi scores a ídoubleí in Manchester
Well thatís at least according to scores of Mancunian pub dwellers who canít help but shout out the football godís name whenever Stephen Sutherland enters one of Manchester city centreís many watering holes.
With recent rumours afloat, they could be forgiven for thinking that the man himself has arrived in Manchester and ready to put pen to paper with one of the big two football clubs in the region.
The Manchester Messi may not need to get the Sun Factor 5 out quite as much as the Barca legend but then the latter is seeking a reported £600k a week so quite possibly, he could learn to adapt.
The climate, however, is nothing new to Stephen, whom is enjoying his 15 minutes of fame, being made the subject of the odd paparazzi snap and receiving countless autograph requests.
So could we be witnessing the birth of a new career for Stephen?
ďWell, at the moment Iím busy running my own business but letís just say if anyone wants to invite a Lionel Messi lookalike to their party, Iím open to offers. As long as they donít ask me to give a speech; letís just say my Spanish needs some work,Ē admits Stephen.
Born in Perth, Scotland, Stephen supports football club St.Johnstone and doesnít care which of the two Manchester football clubs Messi would prefer to play for. For now, heís happy being the only Messi in town.
Stephen currently runs a Manchester sports and adventure network, Social Circle, which offers 100+ free events per month for those who enjoy meeting new people and simply enjoy getting out there and living life.
