Bullying behavior is not always what it seems. A bully pokes, a bully prods, a bully taunts, and a bully takes. No matter the amount of bullying a bully makes, there is always opportunity for the victim to fight back. These are some of the lessons Linda S. Locke, PhD, in her new book, “Bully in Disguise: A Look Behind the Mask,” wishes for those who are victims of bullying to take to heart.

In the story, Jenny, a young girl learns the power of believing in herself. With the help of her Nana’s wise words, she grows to understand that behind their mask, a bully is only afraid.  One can conquer a fearful bully in disguise. Inside are also extra tips for both parents and children to help them cope with a number of ways for victims of bullying to find their voice and be victims no longer.

“More often than not, parents and children do not get the full understanding of the roots of bullying behaviors.  My book will provide the readers with insight and understanding as to how bullies operate and provide suggestions for victims to counter bullying behavior.

Written in a comforting tone, children will find a reassurance and genuine understanding behind bullying and how to conquer them.
