Blue Star Recyclers received approval for The Colorado Enterprise Zone (EZ) Program (http://www.advancecolorado.com/funding-incentives/incentives/enterprise-zone-tax-credits) from the Colorado Office of Economic Development. That means donors who support the mission of Blue Star Recyclers may receive a 25% EZ Contribution Tax Credit on State of Colorado returns in addition to regular contribution deductions for State and Federal income tax filings.  Because Blue Star Recyclers business operations are located within qualifying economically distressed locations it was eligible to apply for and receive the EZ Tax Credit designation.

Blue Star Recyclers CEO, Bill Morris, said “This EZ Contribution Tax Credit has significant value for our donors as well as Blue Star.   Depending on their tax bracket, offsetting tax credits can significantly reduce donor’s net out-of-pocket costs while maximizing their impact on Blue Star Recyclers’ ability to create jobs for people on the autism spectrum and other disAbilities.”
The EZ program was established to help the State of Colorado compete with incentive-rich states for business retention.   In practice, the Colorado EZ Program supports new job creation, employee training, research and development and property revitalization.
