Compelled by desperate circumstances, Wiley makes challenging life or death choices which enhance his quick thinking skills and provide a faith-building insight into God’s foreknowledge.

In a time when kings, lords and knights govern the lands, a young man’s identity is hidden from the world. But the hand of fate is about to change that. Who is this boy that the Danes want to kill? And will this “Son of Nobody” live long enough to ever become a knight? That will be discovered in Ruth Anderson Lawler’s book entitled “Kinsman Redeemer.”

Years before Wiley was born, a pact between his guardian, the Englishman Lord Harold of Rockhaven Castle, and Kormac the Dane of Hakon’s Hall, was written on parchment. But that parchment was stolen and altered, putting English soldiers in mortal danger while challenging the ownership of both estates. In the spring of 1013 King Svein Forkbeard of Denmark, bearing the altered parchment, arrived at Rockhaven claiming the promises in the pact for himself as the kinsman recipient. Forkbeard’s deception sparks a manhunt for Wiley that will change his life forever.

Fighting for his survival, Wiley relies on his wits and his friends, Anatoley, an old alchemist with Greek Fire, Thoren the Norwegian Viking, and a strange dwarf named Toadskin. Captured and taken to Denmark, Wiley discovers who he is while gaining unexpected allies, including Forkbeard’s son and future king of England, the young warrior Knute. Compelled by desperate circumstances, Wiley makes challenging life or death choices which enhance his quick thinking skills and provide a faith-building insight into God’s foreknowledge.

The book has received many five-star reviews from its readers. In fact, according to Earl Osborn, a reader from Amazon, “(The book) kept me guessing till the (end) and I couldn’t put it down. Fascinating, full of adventure and well-written. A clear presentation of the biblical kinsman redeemer"
