CA Names Amy Fliegelman Olli Co-General Counsel

Brings to CA Nearly 20 years of Legal Experience
In the Technology Industry

ISLANDIA, N.Y, September 8, 2006 – CA (NYSE:CA), one of the world’s largest management software companies, today announced that Amy Fliegelman Olli has been named to the position of executive vice president and co-general counsel.

Fliegelman Olli will join CA on September 13 and will report to CA President and Chief Executive Officer John Swainson. As co-general counsel, she will have responsibility for the Law Department, including all legal activities relating to software licensing, intellectual property, litigation and acquisitions.

Kenneth V. Handal, CA’s current general counsel, has been named as executive vice president for governance, focusing on regulatory and compliance issues. He will also serve as co-general counsel and will continue as corporate secretary. He reports to Swainson. Along with his corporate secretary responsibilities, Handal will oversee CA’s compliance, internal audit and global security areas. Handal joined CA in 2004.

“I am very pleased that Amy is joining CA as she has a broad range of experience in the legal issues-both domestically and internationally-that face the technology industry,” Swainson said. “In addition, she has considerable experience managing legal staffs in such disciplines as sales, services and software.”

Prior to taking the post at CA, Fliegelman Olli spent nearly 20 years in various legal positions at IBM. In her last post, she was IBM vice president and general counsel, Americas, and co-global coordinator, sales and distribution. In that role, she was responsible for a team of more than 200 lawyers in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Canada, and for coordination of all the sales and distribution lawyers in IBM on a global basis.

Prior to assuming her current position, she had been the associate general counsel, Southwest Europe. In that capacity, Fliegelman Olli was responsible for managing all legal matters relating to IBM’s business in the region. She also has been the associate general counsel for IBM’s Global Services business and IBM’s Software Group sales activities in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

She received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Oswego and a J.D. from Western New England School of Law.
