IBC Stand: 8.320d, IBC, Amsterdam – 8th September 2006 - Software Generation Ltd (SGL), a leading provider of digital video storage/archive management software, has today announced integration alliances with three major players in the broadcast industry.

Anystream (stand: 7.910), the leading provider of enterprise-grade multiplatform publishing solutions will support the integration of the Anystream Agility system with SGL FlashNet6. Agility is an end-to-end platform for automated media production, from ingest and transformation, to programmatic editing, transcoding, and packaging for digital distribution. The new Agility Web Services API, which provides industry-standard XML-based SOAP and REST interfaces, will be central to the seamless integration of the SGL and Anystream portions of the combined solution. Fady Lama, Vice President of Business Development, Anystream commented, “We are pleased to announce this strategic alliance with SGL. The integration of our products will provide broadcasters with an essential solution that streamlines operations, improves efficiencies, reduces costs and satisfies the exploding consumer demand for content.”

IPV (stand: 8.281), the largest supplier of low bit-rate browse media technology to the broadcast market has chosen to integrate SGL FlashNet6 with its groundbreaking SpectreView product range for sophisticated low bit-rate media workflows. SpectreView ingests low bit-rate material into a preservation system, and as digitization occurs, a high res and browse copy is generated, which can then be archived, retrieved and browsed using SGL FlashNet6. Nigel Booth, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing explained, “SpectreView and FlashNet6 provide a seamless and transparent workflow for the user. We are very happy to announce this partnership and are looking forward to working with SGL.”

Proximity (stand: 12.125), a leading provider of media asset management and production workflow software, will integrate SGL FlashNet6 with artbox enterprise. A media asset management solution designed for broadcast, cable and post-production companies, artbox enterprise improves sharing of media and streamlines creative production workflow. With FlashNet6 integrated with artbox enterprise, Proximity will be able to offer its customers an integrated archive transparent to the end user. Sai Koppala, Proximity SVP Sales & Marketing, confirmed, “As artbox enterprise is being widely deployed worldwide, increasingly customers want a streamlined media lifecycle management and we feel that our partnership with SGL is critical to providing that functionality.”

Bernie Walsh, SGL Sales Director added, “Over the last two years SGL has achieved enormous success with FlashNet being adopted by broadcasters worldwide. We are delighted to announce relationships with these three solid broadcast manufacturers who are all very highly regarded within the industry. This announcement further endorses SGL’s reputation as the leading provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment.”
