WeddingWire Names New Vice President of Product and Vice President of Sales
Sara Bial and Kara DelVecchio join the WeddingWire team
CHEVY CHASE, MD - July 8, 2015 - WeddingWire, Inc., the leading global online marketplace for the wedding and events industry, announced today the appointment of Sara Bial as Vice President of Product and Kara DelVecchio as Vice President of Sales. Bial will oversee WeddingWire’s product management, user experience design, and usability research teams while also developing product strategy and long term planning. DelVecchio will be responsible for local and national sales in the US and Canada.
Sara Bial, Vice President of Product
Sara brings over 13 years of experience leading product innovation and user experience. Most recently, Bial served as Chief Product Officer for Rent the Runway where she oversaw product management and design teams and led their mobile strategy. Sara led the vision and launched the company’s successful social shopping platform and its first mobile iOS app. Prior to this, Bial served as Vice President, Product Management and Creative for Barnes and Noble and Director, Product Management at Home Shopping Network (HSN), with experience in online customer experience, front end web features and function and backend tools.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Decision Information Science from the University of Florida with specialization in eCommerce and mobile strategy, social commerce, and customer experience.

Kara DelVecchio, Vice President of Sales
Kara brings over 15 years of experience leading and scaling a large, complex sales organization in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. As the Executive Director at Corporate Executive Board (NYSE: CEB) DelVecchio oversaw a $400 million revenue line while enabling the success of the company’s sales professionals and driving a progressive sales training agenda at all levels of the organization. DelVecchio most recently served as an advisor to WeddingWire’s executive team on sales strategy and sales leadership development over the past eight months.
She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s in English Literature from the University of Virginia.
