Logic PD Executive Addresses the Role of APIs in Successful IoT Solutions at Sensors Expo 2015

Minneapolis – WEBWIRE

Logic PD, a complete product lifecycle solutions company for connected devices, announced today that at the annual Sensors Expo & Conference June 9-11 in Long Beach, Calif., the company’s CTO Dr. Scott Nelson will present on the emerging role Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) have in the successful deployment of IoT solutions.

In his session entitled, “Sensor APIs could lead to Sensors-as-a-Service,” Nelson will discuss how APIs can affect interoperability down to the sensors in an IoT solution.

“Interoperability is one of the keys to success in the Internet of Things,” said Nelson. “APIs can be used at multiple levels within the functional architecture to enable interoperability between devices. It’s critical to know how APIs are changing the sensors industry and producing a new Sensor-as-a-Service model that will also impact the value of IoT.”

In his presentation June 10 from 1:50 to 2:30 p.m., Nelson will address ways developers can create new value from sensors and discuss how Logic PD is leveraging APIs with the Whisper stethoscope, a veterinary diagnostic tool, to change business models and drive more revenue for the customer.

The annual conference is the leading sensors event in North America and brings together technology leaders involved in the development of sensors-integrated and Internet of Things (IoT) systems.
