Following Your Dreams Has Never Been a Cliché
JoAnn Hill writes a touching story of lifelong dreams, unfulfilled expectations and family ties.
Every person who is afraid to get out of their comfort zone should read this book.
Living up to other people’s expectations is like giving up your own life. But if you’re courageous enough, you can walk away from other people’s idea of how you should live your life and follow your own dreams. It doesn’t matter where you’re going or what you’re going to do. As long as you’re happy and contented, regrets won’t hunt you for the rest of your life. This wonderful story of chasing your own dreams in life despite the challenges is foretold by JoAnn L. Hill in her book entitled, I’m Just the Keyboard Guy.
The story starts as Reg is still a growing boy in Montana, where everyone thought he was going to inherit the family farm. But he had other things in mind that doesn’t involve farming, and instead, he was interested in playing his piano. Although his father thought it was a disaster, his mom supported him all the way.
As he became a young man, he majored in music, but everyone was surprised again when he quit school to join a rock and roll band. His life as a working musician was never easy. While on tour, he lived in cheap motels and he’s experienced a lot of heartbreak. Despite his talent and hard work, nothing seems to be going his way. And on top of other deal breakers, he’s having some problems when it comes to establishing long-term connections with anyone. What is he supposed to do? Will the road less traveled lead Reg back to his parent’s home? Or will he continue to live his life while facing different challenges ahead? That’s what you have to find out.
Every person who is afraid to get out of their comfort zone should read this book. This will inspire you to take the reins of your life. To live the life you have always wanted. And to never be afraid to take the first step in turning your dreams into reality. Moreover, parents of young musicians will also enjoy this interesting story of handling conflicting ideologies within the family.
