Making Residential Home Buying and Selling Simple!

With the Buying Season normally starting in March of each year, March 2015 numbers are up almost 6% over last year’s numbers.  Corelogic Dataquick just reported March 2015 numbers and they are looking pretty good for anyone looking to put their home on the market soon. With residential interest rates still at all time lows this could also be a trigger for Buyers to start looking for a home considering the prices have also risen year over year.

March 2014’s average home prices in Riverside County were $288,500 while this year in March 2015 the average price rose 4.3% to $301,000. While still affordable this could be the start of a trend with home prices gaining momentum and ramping up to still higher levels.

There were almost 20,000 new and existing condos sold in the six counties stated in the latest CoreLogic Dataquick report. This accounts for an 11.1% increase over the same numbers year over year from last March.  There was even a larger increase from February of 43.6% the report found.  This larger increase is typical as buyers return to the market after the winter months.

Increase in sales did hit all six counties in the chart averaging 14.17% more in numbers than last year.  This average was brought up a bit by the Ventura County number at 21.60%.  About a quarter of all the sales were in Inland Southern California.

Even though sales were down year over year in nine of the past 12 months March is the first time in three months to gain year over year. This is good News for anyone in this area as it is also an indicator of an increasing economy.

Riverside County residential sales price average is still just over 30% lower than the peak of $432,000 in December of 2006.
